What can a doctor do for a sprain wrist?

A couple of days ago, I sprained my wrist when I was trying to catch my 2 yr old nephew from falling down the stairs. I didn't go see a doctor because it barely swelled up, but now 3 days later, it REALLY hurts to the point that my whole arm is starting to hurt. I know its not broken, so if I went to urgen care tomorrow, what would they do? Would I get a cast on my wrist?
