Should immigrants be required to take an English class?

The door of the USA was LEGALLY open to large numbers of immigrants in the 1800s. It is not the 1800s anymore. My ancestors came to the USA in the 1800s the LEGAL way through the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. They didn't fly here on a six-month visa and decide to stay here illegally, or run across the desert at night! My ancestors stopped speaking Irish Gaelic, Polish and Austrian German and they learned ENGLISH! . . . . . . . We can't support illegals. We don't even have the money for the Space Program! In the 1800s, America needed the influx of laborers. In the 21st century, we are drowning in a wave of illegal unwelcome people who force their way into my house and have kids to anchor themselves to the USA! Can anyone say "Criminal?" Don't these illegal people have a conscience? Don't they know the difference between right and wrong?
