Does the influx of whites in my neighborhood explain why less kids are going outside?

Ever since all these 40 year old white men have moved into my neighborhood, parents have not been letting their kids go outside for some reason. I can't figure out why parents would all of a sudden become so over protective. Also why would whites men move into our neighborhood, most of the people here are children and there aren't too many women here?
