What would you do if god told you these things?

I am sorry but if I was living in those times of the bible and God commanded me to kill a certain tribe or city I would say NO. I couldn't possibly kill children, women, etc. For their so called wickedness. Could you. Why? when you ask certain religious people, is so easy for them to anwer is because they were wicked. God killed a man for picking up sticks on sabbath day. WTH? Yet when your son gets sick or something you pray like a mad man. If God killed your son, would you rebel? Deep down you would hate him, I know. Because you read from a book and see in letters stories about people being stoned to death, millions dying, it's so easy for you to say "oh its cause God was mad at them" yet when you lose someone close to you, you can't handle it. You guys are disgusting. What would your reaction be, and atheist if this God was real, what would you say?
